How to Thrive in an Unpredictable World

Thursdays are unpredictable right now. So are Fridays. Mondays… well, they’re okay. But every day brings new challenges when you have a 17-month-old extroverted daughter. As an introverted, system and process consultant, unpredictability is my nemesis!

And I’m not alone!

Raise your hands if you love being a parent… but didn’t believe the hype when ‘they’ said it was going to be this hard! (Silly you and silly me!). Every day isn’t like the one before. Every day they get a little smarter and push the boundaries ever-so-more.

So, why was July my best sales month since the business started?

Support.

Support is King.

It’s not just a ‘like to have’, it’s a ‘have to have’.

Embracing Support to Manage Your Time

Think about why you got into business. Was it to spend over an hour trying to book a meeting? Or maybe it was to match endless receipts to your spending? But I doubt it.

It was most likely because you wanted a better quality of life for you and your family. You wanted flexibility, having your expertise respected and making a difference in the lives of your customers – it’s likely all of those reasons and a million more.

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller. And it can be just as simple as that.

Our robust business systems mean that:

  • I can take Tuesdays off without checking emails even once.
  • Once a month, I can take a ‘longevity’ date with my partner
  • I finish at 15:00 every working day and spend time with my daughter.

And we believe in doing the same for our customers. We give them their time back. We live and breathe this ethos.

Outsourcing for Efficiency

Why spend hours on administrative tasks when you can outsource them? Virtual office assistant services. managed email marketing, and diary management are just a few areas where outsourcing can save you time and reduce stress. By using a UK virtual assistant, you can focus on what truly matters – growing your business and spending quality time with your family.

“Do what you do best and outsource the rest.” – Peter Drucker.

I’m sorry for all of the quotes people (not sorry), but outsourcing is nothing new. Having support is fundamental to success. In fact, a study by the Harvard Business Review found that people with mentors are 23% more successful than those without. So, investing in support significantly boosts your chances of success.

Outsourcing your general admin tasks to a virtual admin assistant can make a world of difference. From handling diary management to managing email marketing, a virtual assistant can provide the small business support you need to thrive.
